I'm Josh Tappenden, founder and owner of Tapp Paint and Decorating Services. I run the business with the support of my Dad Chris, who was a specialist decorator in London for over 25 years before moving to Suffolk in 2022.
I am passionate about my work and excellent customer service as well as developing my professional knowledge and skills through my City & Guilds training. Dad's got a bit less energy than me but huge amounts of skill, knowledge and experience that he shares with me on a daily basis and on every job we do .
Between us we make a great team, priding ourselves on providing quick, very high quality work - and importantly, working tidily and cleanly to minimise the impact on you and your life. We also know that most homes and offices have small repair or improvement jobs that need doing alongside decorating and we're great at those too - things like in-letting wood to damaged door frames or skirting, minor repairs to wooden facias/soffits, putting up shelves or door hooks. Essentially those DIY jobs that you just can't or don't want to tackle! We're always happy to have a look and definitely won't take on anything that we know we can't do well.

Weather conditions can impact on the quality and durability of external decorations and we will never work in conditions that will be detrimental to the finish. Unfortunately, delays can be inevitable, particularly (but not necessarily!) in the cooler months of the year but we will always discuss a plan with you to get your work booked in and finished as quickly as we can.
